Nicolas Salles from CNR-IOM participated in the 9th South African Conference on Photonic Materials (SACPM 2023), held at the Skukuza Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, from 8 to 12 May 2023.

He presented recent results from the MAGNELIQ project with a poster on how ab-initio thermodynamics was applied to understand and predict the surface termination and hydroxylation of barium hexaferrite in different chemical environments. The conference provided a valuable platform to exchange knowledge and showcase MAGNELIQ’s advances to the international photonic materials community.
